The batteries of our electric cars are firmly planned by politics and economy as intermediate storage to compensate the volatility of renewable energy sources. At the same time, many e-car owners are also waiting for Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), in order to also earn or save a bit of money by feeding the energy from the cars' battery back into the power grid. Dr. Andreas Piepenbrink had tempered the immense expectations for V2G in a recent episode of our podcast - he stated that almost all current e-cars and wallboxes don't have the physical requirements for V2G and they are not that easy to retrofit. So what is the current status? We find out with Marcus Fendt, Managing Director of the company "The Mobility House". Who is currently holding back the launch of the technology - the network operators, the politicians or the e-car manufacturers? What could V2G achieve in the future? And how would electric car owners benefit?
