In this episode we draw the line from the decentralized generation of electricity by the citizens to the central power supply, the transformation of the grids in the energy transition and the feeding in of privately generated electricity. Invited: Dr. Bartholomäus Surmann from the network operator Netze BW and Prof. Thomas Leibfried from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. We address questions such as: How does the grid operator see the personal energy transition with PV systems and home storage of individual citizens? Will the network operator use my home storage system or my e-car to stabilize the network in the future? How will the grids change as a result of the energy transition? And how secure are the networks against cyber attacks, for example?
